Congratulations and Welcome to Faith Community Health System’s (FCHS) New Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Derek Wilson!
Derek has extensive experience being a nurse in the medical field with 20 years under his belt. When bedside he worked in the ER and ICU. Mr. Wilson stepped his way up the ladder to formal leadership for the last 7 years. He attended nursing school at the University of Texas at Arlington graduating with his bachelors in the science of nursing (BSN). Then went on to obtain his masters in nursing leadership (MSN) from Texas Tech University Health Science Center. He will soon graduate with his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Touro University Nevada in Feb. 2023.
Outside of his passion for furthering his education in nursing and leadership, Derek is married to his wife, Amy, for over 20 years. The two of them have 4 kids Daniel (19), Jacob (16), Luke (15), and Delaney (14).
Derek stated, “I am thankful to be a part of the FCHS team and am excited for what the future holds for us together!”
